• That Slapstick Show Presents: The Silent Comedies of Universal Studios

    Event

  • Doors at 4:30PM - Movies at 5PM
Come celebrate "National Silent Movie Day" as That Slapstick Show celebrates it's 10th anniversary over at QED with a very special show devoted to one of the earlier major studios, Universal Studios.

Join host/film curator Nelson Hughes and co-host Tommy Jose Stathes as they present some of the rarest pieces of American silent comedies from the archives of the Library Of Congress. We'll shine the spotlight on Universal with a collection of rare, surviving archival material from the 1910s and throughout the 1920s. Many not seen since their original theatrical release well over a century ago.

Joining us will be That Slapstick Show's very own, noted ragtime musical artist Charlie Judkins who will accompany the films. Don't miss out on this very special showcase before the films go back in the vault.
    *Lineups subject to change.
