Swap til you drop!
Did you know that every year people in the United States throw out more than 34 billion pounds of used textiles? By recirculating our clothes at the clothing swap, we're engaging in a more sustainable closet clean-out and refresh action that helps to reduce the demand for new clothes and strain on our environmental resources.
Shoutout to QED for letting us use their space! Check out their calendar to see what great shows and events they're hosting.
1) To participate, you have to bring something. Please bring good condition (i.e. no major flaws - stains, rips, holes) and clean clothing. Shoes and accessories welcome. We request that you bring no more than ten (10) items.
How this will work:
If you have any questions about the quality of an item, reach out to the host (Shannon - 339-545-6819).
2) Arrive promptly to get a name tag and lay out your items.
3) Shannon will review the swap guidelines.
4) Shannon will announce the swap end and invite people to share a cool find. Participants will be invited to take any of their items they want back, but any clothing not collected by 1:45 pm will be donated.
Tips and Notes:
- We invite people of all sizes and genders to participate! Available clothing will be limited to whatever participants bring, so it's not guaranteed that there will be a great variety of sizes and styles.
- Wear clothing that allows for flexibility to try items over it, like leggings, tank tops, etc. There will be no private changing spaces. The bathroom will not be used as a changing room.
- Bring a bag to take home your swap finds!
