Explore the scientific aspects of TIE DYING and make your own pillowcase to take home.
We will explore different methods of folding, twisting and binding to create patterns on our dye-ables. We'll also learn about covalent bonds and how different colors relate to each other.
This class will take place outside in QED's backyard and inside if the weather is bad. Everyone will receive a pillowcase for dying, but feel free to bring along up to two additional 100% cotton items to work with as well. T-shirts work well, but do not bring beach towels or sweatshirts. Wear something you wouldn't mind getting dye splashed on, or bring an apron. Now let's get to dying!
QED is an adult space but for this class ages 13+ are welcome to attend with a chaperone.
