Emily Flake is a cartoonist, illustrator, and writer living in Brooklyn, NY. Her cartoons run regularly in the New Yorker, and she’s unbearably stuck-up about it. She also writes and draws a strip called Lulu Eightball that runs in a few alt-weeklies, which is a thing she does mostly for street cred. She has a book out called Mama Tried: Dispatches from the Seamy Underbelly of Modern Parenting - it’s cartoons and essays about parenting, and features 80% more cussing than her mother thought was strictly necessary.
