Anna Harper grew up in Western Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh in a sleepy little town called Plain Grove. Most of the town is made up of woods and marshland. She loves working with natural materials and shapes as a result. She works with pure metals: copper, silver and gold, and includes natural stones, wood, leather, fibers and shells.
"Feeling connected to nature has always been important to me. I love being able to take a little piece of nature with me wherever I go through jewelry. Each piece of jewelry tells a story about the maker, the giver and the wearer. It is one of our oldest and most personal means of communication."
